Thomas Peterson for Mayor

Anoka needs a new mayor. As a French Bulldog, I feel I am suitably qualified. I know how to sit, shake hands, and, in an emergency, play dead. Additionally, I promise that I won't roll over on any issue.

Stick with Me

I am a kind and calm canine most of the time, but if duty calls and a stick needs snapping, I am ready for action.

Judith, thank you for your enthusiasm and generosity! You're the kind of human Anoka needs. I have one campaign manager already, but I'd always love more people who know about that spot behind my ears that I just love having itched. I also have many other positions available, such as marketing coordinator, graphic artist, masseuse, and translator. I'll have one of my aides contact you.

lol ... i mean, ahem. alrighty then mr. peterson. i hear you are on a diet now? have you thought about emulating the various gentlemen who are walking across america to speak out on, um, obesity? perhaps you could start with a walk across anoka? we could utilize this in your campaign literature. thanks for your response!

A walk across Anoka, eh? That's not a bad idea, Judith. I'd have to find the shortest route, of course. And maybe have a support vehicle in case of exhaustion. Well, if I'm using a support vehicle, what's the point of walking? How about a drive across Anoka? Do you think that will communicate the same message for the fight against obesity?

walking will accomplish many objectives - you'll keep your trim, svelte figure while meeting your constituents. you can kiss babies, schmooze it up with the locals, and have an all around good time - all while making a statement about your support for clean air and the environment. so, nix the drive across anoka idea - let's walk!

You are a wise advisor, Judith. That's why I'm happy to have you on my campaign staff. I love the environment and think clean air is very important, although I do like to catch a whiff of the occasional trash bin. Yum.
